There's the bar tender at the Ice House, the wives and kids of the team, various business colleagues, close friends, relatives, neighbors and radio DJ's. All have and will continue to inspire me in my quest for perfect BBQ.
"Once you pick up Slow Smoked Success, you can't put it down. It rules dude!" Billy, a satisfied reader.
Slow Smoked Success was written over a timespan of twenty years. Because of the structure of
the book and how the story was written there is actually a sub-plot and history behind the overall
theme. There is a story behind every story and here is what I call the 'Authors Cut'. Much like the
'Directors Cuts' on a DVD.
This is the BBQ Team which has evolved over the last 20 years. The core of the group is made up of myself,
my brother Arty Bentch, our dad Joe Bentch and our close friend Dave Marks. Our ranks grow and shrink
depending on schedules. Bentch Bros. BBQ is dedicated to the advancement of great BBQ solely for
personal enjoyment and charitable functions. On the average of once a quarter, we will donate our time and efforts to school functions, Boy Scout fundraisers and other events in Montgomery County, Texas. However, there are those few occasions where we will gladly accept payment for services.
Half of the BBQ team lives on a street hidden deep within South Montgomery County, Texas. There are multiple families who have grown with Bentch Bros. BBQ over it's history, who live on the block or within a short distance. This group heralds the call for help and volunteers, becoming adjunct members of the team. Our sincere thanks for their ongoing support and undying love of our BBQ.
